The Tall Firs project involved the development of an existing 2.3 acre single-family home site owned by the Mental Health Housing Foundation. The site was short-platted for the addition of seven 3-bedroom cottages adjacent to the existing group home. New site access and a private road were designed. A community room and manager's apartment are located at the existing house. An outside garden court serves as a common area. The houses overlook an on-site wetland to the east. Native landscaping has been used to enhance the entire site.
